The World Famous Towson University Marching Band, a contemporary corps style university marching band, rents the Salisbury High School field and facilities recently to prepare for a show at J. Birney Crum Stadium. The approximately 240 students including guard, electronic ensemble and front ensemble (pit percussion) travel to Allentown each year to perform among several college marching bands of the East Coast. The band, under the direction of John Miliauskas, performed in November 2009 as a participant in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
