Q What grade are you in?

AI am in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q What is your favorite subject? Why?

AMy favorite subject is environmental science. I find it interesting because it explains why our planet and its ecosystems work the way they do. It also explains human impacts on the environment and what solutions there are to current issues.

Q Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A I am a member of National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. I have received honor roll all throughout high school. I have been recognized for excellence in environmental science and I received the student of the month award from the science department. I am also an Eagle Scout.

Q Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

AI am the vice president of our school's Envirothon club. I am a member of the track and field team. I also take part in winter track club and the fitness team.

Q What is your next goal after high school?

A My next goal after high school is to attend college and major in environmental science. I will most likely attend Penn State University. From there I intend on pursuing internships and gaining as much real world experience in the environmental science field as possible.

Q What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A My biggest challenge thus far has been keeping a healthy balance of everything. I need to stay on top of schoolwork, work, preparing for college and extracurricular activities.

Q What do you want to be remembered for?

A I want to be remembered as someone who cared about the planet and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Q Who is in your family?

A My family includes my mom, Audrey, my dad, Jake, my sister, Jessica and my dog Sammy.

Q Do you have someone you look up to?

A I look up to my parents for their constant support in everything I do and also my geology teacher, Mr. Mihalik, for encouraging me to pursue a career in environmental science and showing me all of the possibilities out there.

Q Do you have any advice for your peers?

A If I was to give advice to my peers I would say it is important to work hard and create opportunities for yourself because you get out of life what you put into it.
