Criminal mischief
A resident in the 1700 block of Piccadilly Circle reported 11:45 a.m. Dec. 1 an unknown actor knocked over holiday decorations causing damage.
A resident in the 1700 block of 33rd Street reported 8:25 a.m. Dec. 1 an unknown actor knocked down holiday decorations causing damage.
A resident in the 1700 block of Piccadilly Circle reported 9:05 a.m. Dec. 1 an unknown actor damaged $250 worth of holiday decorations.
A resident in the 1700 block of Crownwood Street reported 9 a.m. Dec. 1 an unknown actor tampered with holiday decorations.
A resident in the 1700 block of 33rd Street reported 9:40 a.m. Dec. 2 an unknown actor pulled down holiday lights and left them in the yard causing $100 in damage.
A resident in the 1700 block of Piccadilly Circle reported 11 a.m. Dec. 2 an unknown actor smashed pumpkins and vandalized fall decorations causing between $200 and $300 of damage.
A Salisbury police officer noticed Christmas decorations in the street of a home in the 1700 block of 33rd Street 4:48 a.m. Dec. 6 and notified the resident.
A resident in the 1700 block of Piccadilly Circle reported 7:11 a.m. Dec. 6 an LED snowman decoration was damaged and Christmas lights were taken down from a tree and placed on a car. Damage to the snowman is $60.
Theft
A resident in the 800 block of East Susquehanna Street reported 2 p.m. Dec. 1 sometime overnight an unknown actor removed a white metal Christmas moose decoration from the yard valued at $50.
A resident in the 600 block of Ash Street reported 7:29 a.m. Dec. 3 the theft of a license plate which was later returned.
A woman left her purse on an Eastern Coach bus and realized it was missing 10:28 a.m. Dec. 4 after being dropped off at a doctor's office at 1275 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown. The purse was found on the bus but $500 in cash was missing.
An employee at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest reported 5:50 p.m. Dec. 5 she left her iPhone in the bathroom and when she returned, the phone was gone. She used the app "find my iPhone" which said the phone was in Bethlehem. The phone is valued at $300. The police are investigating.
Arts Academy Charter Middle School, 1610 E. Emmaus Avenue reported a theft of a black leather coat and a graphing calculator 12:30 p.m. Dec. 9.
A 16-year-old female, of Allentown, was charged with allegedly removing $380 from a cash register while at work at Bon-Ton, 3300 Lehigh St., 5:12 p.m. Dec. 17. She was released to a parent.
Attempted burglary
Unknown actors attempted to enter a home by placing a pallet against a side window of a home in the 600 block of Paoli Street, 1:09 p.m. Dec. 3. The pallet broke which prevented entrance to the home.
Drug
Jason Matz, 29, unknown address, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia 3:04 p.m. Dec. 3 at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest, 1200 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown. Police were called to the hospital to check on a wanted person and Matz was allegedly found with 17 packets of heroin and drug paraphernalia. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Criminal trespass
John Belles, 18, of Salisbury and Richard Gehringer, 18, of Palmerton, were charged 3:57 p.m. Dec. 5 with allegedly riding ATV vehicles on school district property. They were issued citatations for trespassing.
False identification
Kyle Ragen, 24, no known address, was charged with allegedly providing false identification during a traffic stop 11:49 a.m. Dec. 12 in the South Mall parking lot, 3300 Lehigh St. Ragen allegedly had no registration and was driving under suspension. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Attempted child abduction
Police are investigating the report of an attempted child abduction along East Rock Road Dec. 17. The female said an Hispanic male asked her to come to the tan vehicle he was in and get in. The female ran home and called police.
Fire assist
Western Salisbury Fire Department personnel were called to Lehigh Valley Hospital 4:35 p.m. Dec. 17 for a cat scan machine fire. The machine was being installed and there were no reported injuries. The machine was valued at $50,000.
