Listen for a siren on Dec. 20, as Santa tours Schnecksville atop a fire truck bringing holiday wishes and treats for boys and girls.

There will be a flea market 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Dec. 21 in the fire company pavilion.

Community Fire Co. No. 1, Schnecksville, is conducting its annual fund drive. Unlike some areas with paid firefighters, Schnecksville depends on volunteers to respond to emergency calls.

Contributions from residents and proceeds from events at the hall are the primary sources of funds for the fire company.

St. John's United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, will have two services Christmas Eve. Both will be preceded by 20 minutes of Christmas music, so come early!

Bring your extended family, friends and neighbors to share this special holiday evening.

The 6 p.m. family service will include a children's message.

The traditional candlelight service begins 8 p.m.

Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, will have family Christmas Eve services at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Communion and candlelight services will take place at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The children's Sunday School program will be presented 10:45 a.m. on Dec. 21.

The youth group recently prepared and served breakfast to more than 100 people in need at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in downtown Allentown.

Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, will have a 5 p.m. candlelight service Christmas Eve with children and youth presenting the musical, "Arrest These Merry Gentlemen."

At 8 p.m. the Rev. Dr. Allan Kramer-Moyer will present the message, and at 11 p.m. the Rev. Kris Snyder-Samuelson will be offering the sermon.

The services will include carols, communion and candle lighting.

College students and young adults will participate during the 8 a.m. and the 10:30 a.m. services on Dec. 28.

Contemporary music will be shared by the Sunday Morning Alive team at the 10:30 a.m. service.
