A Moravian star will hang in the belfry of Central Moravian Church, Main and Church streets, Bethlehem.
The six-foot star was donated to Central Church by the Moravian Star Factory in Herrnhut, Germany, as a symbol of the connection between Bethlehem and Herrnhut.
Central plans to dedicate the star on the first Sunday of Advent, 5 p.m. Nov. 30, in an brief outdoor ceremony across Main Street from the main Sanctuary, near the Smithy and the Hotel Bethlehem. The Central Moravian Church choir, brass and others will participate.
"Central embraces this gift as a treasured symbol of both the Moravian Church and the Christmas City," said Central Moravian's The Rt. Rev. Hopeton Clennon.
