Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, will host a community Thanksgiving service 7 p.m. Nov. 26.

Refreshments will be served afterward in Memorial Hall.

The offering will be directed to the food bank administered by Agape Fellowship Church, Schnecksville.

St. John's United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, will have a Thanksgiving Eve service 7:30 p.m. Nov. 26.

Pastor James Gott-wald has planned grief support workshops at St. John's UCC at 9 a.m. on Nov. 23, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7.

Each session will focus on a different aspect of grief. Resources will be Scriptures and each other's experiences.

Attend one workshop or all three depending on time and circumstance.

"Let us work together on our grief," Pastor Gottwald says.

The Auxiliary of Northern Valley EMS, 2375 Levans Road, Ormrod, is hosting a holiday shop from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 30.

Here's an opportunity to do holiday shopping early and avoid mall traffic and crowds.

Vendors will have items such as cutlery and plastic containers, as well as handmade ornaments and crafts.

The kitchen will be open and NOVA bakers will have chocolate chip and cut-out cookies for sale.

This is the last of many NOVA fundraisers for 2014.

Last year, the auxiliary donated $40,000 to the ambulance corps.

President Marie Dean thanks all who support the worthwhile organization.

"I give my special thanks to all our active volunteers and a big thank-you to all who support and attend our fund-raising events," Dean said.

Schnecksville Fire Company will have an all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 30.

The Upper Lehigh Lions Club will not have breakfasts in 2014-15.
