Bethlehem's annual Christmas City Tree Lighting Ceremony will be led by Mayor Bob Donchez at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 28 at Payrow Plaza, 10 E. Church St. The three Bethlehem High School bands will play as one unit. The Lehigh Valley Charter School for the Arts Choir and the Bach Choir will sing Christmas carols and lead a sing-a-long.

This is the 50th anniversary of the Citizens Christmas City Committee which organizes the event. The CCCC also coordinates the Community Advent Breakfast and raises money to purchase the trees and lights used to decorate the city during the Christmas season, according to committee member Lynn Cunningham.
