Whitehall High School student Abbigail Woodring has been named the Woman's Club of Whitehall Girl of the Month for October.

Attaining honor roll all marking periods, she served as a student council representative and was a member of the Outdoors Club, Student Forum, Zephyr Nation, Leo Club, Art Club, Key Club, cross country team, track and field team and served as an orientation aide.

Woodring is also a member of the National Honor Society and a 2014 Dwight D. Eisenhower recipient.

She participated in the 2012 Penn State Leadership Conference and was accepted into the Emerging Health Professionals Program her senior year.

Her other activities include serving as a St. Luke's Hospital nurse's assistant volunteer with more than 130 hours of service.

She plans to become a physician or a physician assistant in the future.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Woodring of Coplay.
