LEHIGH COUNTY GAMING GRANT
The Salisbury Township Police Department has announced the final report of the 2014 Lehigh County Gaming Grant for traffic safety enforcement.
Accordinting to Officer Bryan S. Losagio, in the months March through October, the police department conducted eight months of traffic safety enforcement with 46 traffic safety details. The average length of each detail was 5.1 hours.
There were an average of eight traffic stops per traffic detail.
Traffic safety enforcement officers worked 236.25 hours. The total funds spent for hours of enforcement worked was $12,111.37.
There were 369 traffic stops conducted by officers with 380 citations.
The average citations issued per traffic stop by officers were 1.02.
Seven vehicles were impounded by officers; one in every 46 vehicle stops resulted in a vehicle being impounded.
There was one criminal arrest made by officers through traffic enforcement a stolen motor vehicle with aggravated assault, fleeing police as well as multiple summary offenses.
One fugitive from justice (Florida) was arrested.

15 failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk in front of a school citations

one open container of alcohol in vehicle citation
