ALBURTIS COLUMN Alburtis Christmas celebration will be Dec. 7

The borough office will be closed Nov. 27 and 28.

Mark Dec. 7 on your holiday calendar. It's Christmas celebration in Alburtis. Join Santa at breakfast at the community center starting 8 a.m. Then stroll around town and visit the various attractions cookie bake sale, house decorating contest, surrey rides. At 2 p.m. stop by the fire company on Main Street to visit Santa. The day ends with the lighting of the Christmas tree.

The Alburtis Lock Ridge Historical Society will host a museum open house 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. Nov. 15. The event is free and open to the public. For more information visit alhs18011.org.

On Dec. 14, come to the historical society building, Church and Franklin streets for an old-fashioned Christmas show, singing and PA Dutch humor. The children will entertain with the popular song "Let It Go." Donations will be collected. The proceeds will go toward the Christmas food baskets.

Join the bingo group Friday nights at the community center, Walnut and Second streets. Doors open 5:30 p.m., games start 7 p.m. Refreshments available.

The Alburtis Senior Citizens meet noon Nov. 19 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Quarry Road, for lunch, a business meeting and bingo.

Join Doris for two fun trips. Nov. 20 at the Rainbow Dinner Theatre and Dec. 18 at the Dutch Apple Theatre. Call her at 610-966-3653 for reservations.
