WCMS to welcome local author Friday
Whitehall-Coplay Middle School is proud to welcome author Josh Berk tomorrow.
Berk's novels include "The Dark Days of Hamburger Halpin," "Guy Langman: Crime Scene Procrastinator," "Strike Three: You're Dead" and "Say It Ain't So."
Berk has worked for more than 15 years as a public librarian and is now following in his father's footsteps as the executive director for the Bethlehem Area Public Library.

Don't forget, the ESOL department will be hosting its annual family night 6-8 p.m. tonight at he middle school.

"Using Effective Discipline" is the topic of the next Parents Night, set for 6-8 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 12.

Zephyr Elementary School students will honor veterans by wearing red, white and blue for Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11.
There will also be a special recognition for family members and friends who are veterans, past or present.

PTSA Market Day pickup is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the middle school, from 4 to 5 p.m.

The Whitehall swim team fundraiser will be held at the Keystone Pub in Whitehall Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 6 to 9 p.m.
A percentage of the profits will go toward the swim team.
The team will also be holding raffles throughout the evening.

Zephyr Elementary Key Club's Fall Food Drive is under way and runs through Nov. 14.
Students and staff have begun collecting canned foods and other nonperishable items to help fill Thanksgiving baskets for the less fortunate in the Whitehall community. Drop off boxes are located in the main foyer.
