Several families from Weisenberg Township participated in the LV Color Run Oct. 4 at Cedar Beach, Allentown.

The Color Run was founded in March 2011 to promote healthiness and happiness by bringing the community together to participate in the "Happiest 5k on the Planet."

Even though the 5K is about having fun, participants also focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle.

They have raised donations for more than 80 local and national charities, and with no winners or official times, the Color Run caters to everyone, from first time runners to seasoned athletes.

They have donated more than $3 million to charities.
