Fatal accident
An 84-year-old Lower Macungie Township woman who was struck by a vehicle in a parking lot in Lower Macungie Township has died.
Lorraine Grammes, of the 700 block of Timber Trail, was pronounced dead 3:28 p.m. Oct. 22 at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest campus, according to a press release from the Lehigh County Coroner's office. The cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of the death was determined to be an accident.
According to State Police at Fogelsville, two people were struck by a vehicle around 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Trexlertown Medical Center, 6900 Hamilton Blvd. A 93-year-old woman, of Fogelsville, was attempting to park when her vehicle accelerated and struck a parked vehicle. Police said a 85-year-old man and an 84-year-old woman were exiting the second vehicle at the time and were pinned under the vehicle by the crash.
Both were taken to Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest campus.
