ArtsQuest promotes S. Whitehall exec

ArtsQuest has announced that Curt Mosel has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Partnerships for the Bethlehem-based arts and cultural organization.

Mosel, ArtsQuest's Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations, has been with the nonprofit since January 2010, overseeing its marketing, public relations and box office departments through the biggest period of growth in the organization's 31-year history.

In his new role, Mosel will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sponsorship program that engages ArtsQuest with individuals and organizations in the community, while helping to develop initiatives and partnerships that support the nonprofit's free programming for the region. He will also continue to oversee the marketing, box office and public relations strategies for the organization, which presents more than 1,500 concerts, programs, classes, events and festivals annually.

In addition to leading ArtsQuest's marketing and public relations efforts, Mosel has helped the nonprofit launch several new events and programs designed to support its programming.

These include events such as the Celebrity & Bar Skills Challenges and 999 The Hawk Bingo Bash at Oktoberfest that have helped to draw thousands to the festival, as well as the Sands Steel Stage Party Decks and Oasis Lounge, which have led to new concert experiences for fans at Musikfest.

Most recently, Mosel led a team of community organizations in the planning and development of the FIFA World Cup SoccerFest and Viewing Party, which attracted more than 50,000 guests to SteelStacks and the Lehigh Valley in June and July.

"Over the past four years, Curt has launched several new initiatives and programs that have resulted in exciting, new arts and cultural experiences for our residents, while at the same time developing new revenue streams to help support our nonprofit mission and drive us towards sustainability," said ArtsQuest's incoming President, Kassie Hilgert.

Prior to coming to ArtsQuest, Mosel was Marketing Manager for The Morning Call. He received a bachelor's degree in communications, with a minor in business administration, from the University of Iowa. He began his career as a Ticket Sales Executive with the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA.

Mosel is a resident of South Whitehall Township, where he lives with his wife, Jaime, and their two children.
