Firefighters from Western Salisbury, Eastern Salisbury and Lower Macungie fire departments work to free a female driver from a vehicle struck from behind Oct. 16 on the perimeter road in front of Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest and pushed over an embankment along the side of the road. Rescue workers cut away the roof of the vehicle to gain access to free the trapped driver, who was then transported to the nearby hospital emergency room by a Medivac ambulance.
