On Friday, Nov. 7, faculty and staff member teams representing NASD buildings will compete in a friendly Olympic Games to raise funds for the Northampton Area Konkrete Kids Educational Foundation and the Angel 34 Foundation.

The community is invited. Doors open at the Northampton Area High School gym and cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. and the games begin at 6:30 p.m.

The teams will compete for a Konkrete Block to be displayed in the building of the winner for a year.

Food will be available. Raffles will be featured and building mascots will make appearances.

Tickets are now on sale in all the elementary and secondary buildings, but can also be purchased at the door or by contacting Bill Conner at connerw66@msn.com.

There is a cost. Elementary students must be accompanied by an adult.

The middle school book fair will be held Oct. 27-31. Students brought home a flier with some of the selections that will be available to purchase.

Lehigh Elementary Market Day pick up is set for Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Lehigh elementary building. The time printed in the district calendar is wrong.

The Lehigh PTA meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at the Lehigh Elementary School. Mark your calendars and plan to attend.

There will be an early dismissal Friday, Oct. 31. Secondary students will be dismissed at 10:35 a.m. and elementary and Washington's crossing will be dismissed at noon. No lunches will be served.

Moore Elementary School will be honoring local veterans and active military personnel at its third annual Veterans Day program Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Local veterans and current military personnel are sought to make short educational presentations.
