National School Bus Safety Week will be observed from Monday, Oct. 20, through Friday, Oct. 24.

Various activities will be taking place throughout many elementary schools in the district.

Parents should remind their children of the importance of following the rules while riding on the school bus.

Washington's Crossing parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Parents should confirm conference times with their children's teachers.

The middle school book fair will be held Oct. 27-31.

Students brought home an informative flier featuring some of the selections that will be available to purchase.

Just a reminder the end of the first marking period is Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Any parent who has questions or concerns should communicate with the child and teacher.

Lehigh Elementary Market Day pick up is set for Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 5 p.m. This will continue to be the new pick up time. The time in the district calendar was misprinted and it is wrong.

Market Day pick up will be held at the Lehigh elementary building.

Students will be dismissed early Friday, Oct. 31.

Secondary students will be dismissed at 10:35 a.m., elementary and Washington's crossing will be dismissed at noon. No lunches will be served.

The early dismissal is due to a teacher in-service day.

The high school volunteer club is collecting nonperishable food items during the month of October for the Northampton Area Food Bank.

Items will be collected in second period homerooms. Prizes will be given to those who collect the most.
