Cadets earn

dean's list status

Nicholas H. Millward and Tyler F. Hacker were named to the dean's list for the second semester of academic year 2013-14 at Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Va.

Millward, a graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, is majoring in international studies.

His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harry T. Millward.

Hacker of Allentown, is majoring in international studies. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. John F. Hacker.

To be eligible for the dean's list, a cadet must have a term grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and no grade below C.

Michael Rodgers of Allentown, a member of the Class of 2017 at Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Va., earned honor roll status for the 2013 winter term.

Honor roll status at Washington and Lee represents a term grade-point average of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.

Katelyn E. Moyer of Allentown, a senior majoring in exercise science, and Meghan Lynch of Orefield, a senior majoring in accounting and finance, were among the 42 University of Scranton students who were inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, the national honor society for students in Jesuit colleges and universities.

To be named to the dean's list, students must earn a minimum 3.4 grade-point average and carry at least 12 credits.

Megan Fisher, a member of the class of 2014 from Allentown, was named to the spring 2014 dean's list at Loyola University, Md.

To qualify for the dean's list at Loyola, a student must have a grade-point average of at least 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credits.

Fogelsville: Gabrielle Gaugler graduated magna cum laude with a degree in creative writing and business management;

New Tripoli: Amy Vaughn graduated cum laude with a degree in archaeology and religion; and

Schnecksville: Ashley Gimbel graduated cum laude with a degree in biology, and Laurie Gimbel graduated magna cum laude with a degree in psychology.

Joshua Ajamu, son of Mr. and Mrs. Moses A. Ajamu of Breinigsville, graduated from Bates College, Lewiston, Maine, May 25.

A 2010 graduate of St. Benedict's Preparatory School, Ajamu majored in rhetoric.
