This week Emmaus celebrates "spirit week," coordinated by the Student Government Assocation with different themes and after school activities for each day.
Tuesday was sport/ club day, where students wore a jersey or T-shirt representing their favorite sports team or club, followed up by the powderpuff football game in the evening.
Wednesday is "Color Out Cancer Day" where students are encouraged to wear a color of their choice representing a specific type of cancer.
Thursday is America Day, when students can show off their patriotic pride.
On Thursday night there will be a parade starting 5:15 p.m. in the senior lot and a pep rally 6:30 p.m. in the main gym. All students are welcome.
Finally, Friday is Spirit Day. Students show off their Hornet pride in preparation for the big homecoming football game.
The week ends with a "New York, New York" themed homecoming dance 7 to 10 p.m. in the cafeteria. Tickets are available for sale in lunches.
