Variety of tools stolen from shed

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a 69-year-old man of the 6200 block of Ulrich Mill Road, Lynn Township, reported various tools, valued at approximately $600, were stolen from his shed sometime between Sept. 12 and Oct. 4.

Anyone with information about this theft is asked to contact state police at 610-395-1438.

Charges filed against New Tripoli man

Police allege Edwin Michael Figueroa, 27, of New Tripoli, struck a 50-year-old man twice with a stick injuring his leg and hand during a property line dispute at 9:20 a.m. Sept. 30 in the 6000 block of Market St., Lynn Township.

Charges are being filed before District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.

Doorjamb damaged

in Lynn Township

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a 58-year-old woman from the 7300 block of Leaser Road, Lynn Township, reported an attempt was made to break the door handle off the passenger side door of her vehicle sometime between 8 a.m. Oct. 1 and 2 p.m. the next day.

Police also say the door leading to her garage was forced open, damaging the doorjamb.

This incident remains under investigation, police say.

School bus hit

in Washington Twp

State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Helen Doncsecz, 86, of Slatington, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt eastbound on Glencrest Road at Glencrest Boulevard, Washington Township at 8:05 a.m. Oct. 7, when her car struck the rear of a 2015 International Harvester school bus driven by Susan M. Perl, 52, of Slatington.

According to police, the car struck the rear of the school bus, which was stopped at the intersection with its stoplights and arm activated as it was loading passengers.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, police say. There were no injuries reported

The car was towed from the scene.

Police say Doncsecz was charged with driving at an unsafe speed.
