makes dean's list

Peter Bross of Allentown was named to the 2013 fall semester dean's list at Lafayette College, Easton, for outstanding academic achievement.

To qualify for dean's list, a student must achieve at least a 3.60 semester grade-point average on a scale of 4.0.

St. Joseph's

Student inducted

into honor society

St. Joseph's University's, Philadelphia, Beta Gamma Sigma chapter inducted Kutztown resident Karissa Barrell into its honor society. St. Joseph's University's student chapter was also recognized with the society's Outstanding Chapter Award.

Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honor society for business students.

Qualifying for membership is the highest scholastic honor a student in business can attain.

To be eligible, students must rank in the upper 10 percent of their junior class, the upper 10 percent of their senior class, or the upper 20 percent of their

graduate class.

Northeastern

Resident receives

dean's list honors

Orefield resident Gillian E. Gipson, majoring in ASL and psychology, was named to the dean's list at Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., for the spring semester.

To achieve the dean's list distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality grade-point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C- during the course of their college career. Each student receives a letter of commendation and congratulation from their college dean.

Carolina

Student makes

president's list

Megan E. Seier, of Breinigsville, a sophomore majoring in theater, was named to the president's list for high academic achievement at Coastal Carolina University, Conway, S.C.

To qualify for president's list, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and must be enrolled full time.
