A free conference focused on autism services will be presented 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Oct. 13, KidsPeace Child Development Therapeutic Recreation Center, 1650 Broadway, Salisbury Township.
Jesse Saperstein, author of the memoir, "Atypical: Life with Asperger's in 20 1/3 Chapters," will provide the keynote address, at 1 p.m. Oct. 13. He will share his perspective on overcoming bullying, coping with compulsions and finding strength.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the Autism Spectrum Disorders programs and other services offered through KidsPeace's Community Programs. There will be breakout sessions related to autism and information from outside agencies.
A light lunch will be served.
Act 48 credits will be given to teachers attending.
