It was their night, and they took control of it early. Four seniors scored the first five goals on senior night Monday night of a 6-0 win over Northern Lehigh.
Ben Heydt, Danny Walters, Connor Wagner, and Brett Spencer all connected in their final home game as Salisbury Falcons. Freshman Patrick Adams added the final goal midway through the second half.
Five different players scoring is something that excites head coach Mark Allinson, showing the depth he can use at his disposal.
"This season has been good in a sense that we have a balanced attack," said Allinson. "One person may be injured or not having a good day, but other guys step up."
Under the lights in their final home stand, there were a number of different seniors that stepped up for the Falcons, including assists from seniors Levi Renninger and Sebastian Valderrama.
"With our depth at scoring, it also brings a lot of assists for different guys," said Allinson. "They move the ball around well, and when they do that it gives you a lot of opportunities to score. It's nice when we get to finish them."
The Falcons dominated play from start to finish. They outshot the Bulldogs 13-1 and controlled possession and opportunities throughout the game.
Sophomore goalie Tyler Keller was only forced to make one save in a dominant all-around team effort.
It was a big conference win for Salisbury coming off of a loss to Moravian Academy.
"We had a little bit of a let down at Moravian, but this was a nice win" said Allinson. "We have to fix some things and adjust to some things that didn't work well against Moravian. We'll get that stuff hammered out and everyone on the same page and hopefully we can make a deep run like we did last year."
Salisbury ends itsr regular season with a game against Southern Lehigh Wednesday.
