DUI

Nancy Keppel, 53, of Emmaus, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police responded to the area of Liberty Street on reports of an erratic driver 9 p.m. Aug. 10. Keppel allegedly was found to be the driver. Keppel was processed and released.

Louise Koehler, 62, of Emmaus, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police were called to North Third Street Sept. 1 for an accident in which Koehler allegedly struck two parked cars. She was processed and released.

Maria Baca, 32, of Allentown, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after she was stopped in the 800 block of Chestnut Street 2:30 a.m. Sept. 7 for alleged erratic driving. Baca also was found to allegedly be driving while her license is suspended. Baca was processed and released.

Susan Sabol, 46, of Emmaus, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after she was stopped for alleged erratic driving in the 1000 block of Chestnut Street just after midnight Sept. 14. Sabol was processed and released.

Burglary

Reported by a resident of the 600 block of Evergreen Street, unknown actors broke into the residence through a back door and took a safe containing cash, documents and jewelry between 5 and 8:30 p.m. Sept. 15.

Theft of a bicycle

Reported by a resident of the 400 block of Chestnut Street, unknown actors took a white GT Sensor mountain bicycle valued at $1,200 from the porch near the rear of the residence overnight Sept. 12.

Theft of a camera and lens

Reported at Wesley Works Entertainment, 500 Chestnut St., Sept. 2, a camera and lens valued at $3,900 was taken between 6 p.m. Aug. 21 and noon Aug. 22. The investigation continues.

Theft of a cell phone

Reported in the 1700 block of West Wood Street, a pink Motorola Razor cellphone was taken during the borough-wide community yard sale Sept. 6. The owner of the phone told police she accidentally placed the phone on a table with sale items in the garage at the residence. The phone is valued at $50.

Criminal mischief

Michael Guzzi, 50, of Emmaus, was charged with criminal mischief, harassment, reckless driving and disorderly conduct after police were called to North Sixth Street for a disturbance Sept. 17. Guzzi allegedly was found to have intentionally rammed his vehicle into a neighbor's car and an argument ensued during which he allegedly called the neighbor lewd names.

Reported by a resident in the 500 block of Broad Street Sept. 8, unknown actors damaged the paint of a vehicle parked to the rear of the residence sometime overnight.

Reported by a resident in the 1000 block of Eagle Drive, an unknown actor slashed a tire Sept. 10. The tire is valued at $250.
