Theft from vehicle

Reported in the 2100 block of Woodridge Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered an unlocked vehicle and took several items between 10 p.m. Sept. 12 and noon Sept. 13.

Reported in the 1100 block of Eagle Street, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors took numerous items from a vehicle between 2 and 2:30 a.m. Aug. 19.

DUI

Ramon Antonio Alberto Jr., 34, of Indianapolis, Ind., was arrested and charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, depositing waste and tampering with physical evidence after he allegedly was seen speeding on Interstate 78 westbound near mile marker 60.0, Upper Saucon Township, 8:57 p.m. Aug. 29. Alberto allegedly threw a plastic bag from the vehicle during his traffic stop. The bag was recovered and found to contain suspected marijuana.

Yana Gavrilesku, 19, of Breinigsville, was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on the state Route 222 bypass near Krocks Road, southbound, Lower Macungie Township, 12:02 a.m. Sept. 12. Gavrilesku allegedly showed signs of intoxication at the scene.

An unamed 28-year-old Emmaus man was taken into custody for driving under the influence of drugs after police received reports of a possibly intoxicated male driving with a child in his vehicle in the parking lot of Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:15 p.m. Aug. 27.

A 17-year-old male, of Zionsville, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a one-vehicle accident along Beck Road, Upper Milford Township, 11:25 p.m. Aug. 31. The teen was southbound when he missed a curve and struck a rock on the right shoulder of the road. According to police, the teen admitted to ingesting marijuana.

Anthony Michael Keller, 21, of Emmaus, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia allegedly were found on him at a traffic accident scene at the intersection of South Cedar Crest Boulevard and Minesite Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:08 a.m. Sept. 2. Troopers were investigating a traffic incident when a vehicle allegedly driven by Keller stopped at the scene. Charges were filed with District Court 31-3-02.

A 17-year-old male will be charged with driving under the influence after a one-vehicle traffic accident on Ruth Road near Smith Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 11:15 p.m. Aug. 22. According to police, the vehicle driven by the teen was traveling northeast on Ruth Road when the vehicle left the road, struck a small ditch and rolled onto its roof. A 15-year-old female who was in the vehicle is to be charged with underage drinking.

Michael T. Emerick, 50, of Allentown, was charged with driving under the influence after a two-vehicle accident on Cedar Crest Boulvevard at Minesite Road, Lower Macungie Township, 9:26 p.m. July 31. Emerick allegedly was northbound on Cedar Crest Boulevard, attempted to turn left onto Minesite Road and struck a southbound vehicle. An Allentown man who was operating the second vehicle was injured in the accident. Charges were filed in District Court 31-2-03.

Access device fraud

Reported in the 5900 block of Wayside Drive, Lower Macungie Township, two actors unlawfully used the resident's Capitol One credit card information to purchase $59.27 worth of merchandise from a CVS store in Glensdale, Ill. The resident contacted Capital One Fraud Management Services and cancelled the card.

Reported in the 1100 block of Grange Road, Lower Macungie Township, a resident discovered fraudulent transactions from London, England, against a checking account, midnight Sept. 9. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
