At the Sept. 17 school board meeting, the board accepted with regret the resignation of William Dovico, assistant principal at Salisbury High School effective Sept. 26. Teacher Mary Agnew was appointed as acting high school assistant principal effective Sept. 22 until a new assistant principal is hired.

In other personnel news, David Haninchick resigned as co-junior varsity football coach; Debra Saeger, full-time learning support teacher was transferred to Salisbury Middle School; Kayla Jones was approved as a full-time long-term substitute teacher at Western Salisbury Elementary School through Jan. 16, 2015; Carrie Berger was approved as a full-time long-term psychologist substitute through Feb. 2, 2015; Jenny Hur was approved as a 4 hours a day part-time instructional assistant at WSE and Christine Hersh was approved as a 3.75 hours a day part-time instructional assistant at WSE.

Suzanne Bennett's hours were increased to 4 hours a day as a part-time cafeteria helper at SHS; Kathleen Ascani was hired as a 3 hours a day part-time cafeteria helper at SHS and Reem Bitar was approved as a 2 hours a day part-time cafeteria helper at SMS.

Christopher Adams was approved for a FMLA leave from WSE effective Oct. 6 through Oct. 20; Mary Pope was approved as a 4 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at SMS; Emily Lydon was approved as a 4 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at SMS; custodian Charles Young was transferred from Harry S Truman Elementary School to SMS; custodian Karl Laub was transferred from SMS to HST, Jeffrey Breidinger Jr was approved as the middle school girls basketball coach; Ashlee Csicsek was approved as the assistant middle school girls basketball coach; Avery Markle was approved as a volunteer assistant varsity field hockey coach; Nanette DeRemer was approved as a volunteer twirling coach; Tracy Merrill was approved as a learning support teacher at WSE and SHS teacher Katherine Rossetti was approved for a FMLA leave effective Nov. 24 through Jan. 31, 2015.
