Theft

A resident at DevonHouse Senior Living, 1930 Bevin Drive, reported 9 a.m. Sept. 12 a wedding ring and gold necklace missing. Police are investigating.

A long-time hunter at Franko Farm, 1301 Black River Road, reported 8:10 a.m. Sept 14 his tree stand was stolen. The tree stand was found and returned.

Burglary

Approximately $200 was reported removed from Pediatric Specialty Center, 1210 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., 11 a.m. Sept. 16.

A resident in the 800 block of Yorkshire Road reported 6:38 p.m. Sept. 16, four juveniles removed a bike from a garage; the resident chased the juveniles, who dropped the bike and ran away.

Pediatric Pulmonary, 1210 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., reported 11 a.m. Sept. 16, an unknown actor attempted to enter the premises by prying open five wooden doors causing $600 in damage.

DUI

Richard Confer, 40, of East Stroudsburg, allegedly was stopped in the 3100 block of Lehigh Street, 2:07 a.m. Sept. 13, given sobriety tests and taken to Central Booking for processing.

Criminal mischief

A resident in the 600 block of Ash Street reported 9 a.m. Sept. 17 an unknown actor keyed an inappropriate word on the trunk of her car.

Identity theft

A resident reported 11:20 a.m. Sept. 18 an unknown actor made an unauthorized purchase of $721.98 on her debit card.

Scam

A resident in the 300 block of Wayne Avenue reported receiving a call her grandson was in an accident and arrested in Wyoming. The caller, allegedly Tom Reid, said he required $2,000 in prepaid debit cards for bail. The resident did not pay the money. Police are reminding residents these calls are scams and money should never be sent in these cases.
