State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-134th, is co-sponsoring a Senior Expo Sept. 19, at Luther Crest, 800 Hausman Road, South Whitehall.

The expo is also sponsored by St. Luke's University Health Network.

The facility will open for bingo at 9 a.m., and Mackenzie will call the numbers.

The free expo will run 10 a.m.-1 p.m. A lunch with complimentary Potts' hot dogs will be served while supplies last.

"Every year, seniors tell me they had no idea about the wide array of services existing until they came to this event," Mackenzie said. "Dozens of vendors will be on hand to share information about programs and services available to older Pennsylvanians.

"There will be health care organizations, assisted living facilities, government agencies and more."

Free flu shots will be offfered, depending on the supply of vaccineavailable. Seniors who are on Medicare should bring their cards with them to be vaccinated.

"This is also an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Property Tax and Rent Rebate program available to Pennsylvania seniors," Mackenzie said. "My office can walk people through the process of applying and let them know about additional programs for which they might be eligible."
