St. Luke's stars in an a-maze-ing way

A St. Luke's University Health Network star can be found most anywhere in the Lehigh Valley ... on buildings, on ambulances, on billboards … even in a corn field.

Visitors to the corn maze at Seiple Farms corn maze in Bath may even get lost in one.

This year's annual pumpkin harvest at Seiple Farms, 5761 Nor Bath Boulevard, Bath, includes a Corn Maze designed by Country Corn Maze LLC to look like St. Luke's logo. With more than 18 acres of corn, 2.5 miles of paths to discover and 16 check-point scavenger hunt within the maze, visitors can play in the maze while learning some fun trivia about the human body and St. Luke's along the way.

"A corn maze is a great way to encourage outdoor activity in a family-friendly venue," said Ken Szydlow, Vice President, Marketing, St. Luke's University Health Network.

Mileage covered within the corn maze will count towards the "Get Your Tail on the Trail" program, a health and fitness initiative supported by St. Luke's and Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (D&L) to encourage family activity.

Deb and Chris Colitas, owners of Country Corn Maze, LLC working with Seiple Farms, said, "We love the enthusiasm that St. Luke's brings to this event and the desire to work so closely with us to provide visitors with a fun and dynamic experience."

The corn maze is open to the public weekends, Sept. 27 - Oct. 26. Group rates are available for groups of 10 or more. Schools are offered weekday field trips. The corn maze hotline is 484-274-0756.

Hours of operation for the maze and farm are: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturdays; 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sundays; noon - 6 p.m. Fridays (Oct 3, 10, 17 only), and noon - 6 p.m. Columbus Day, Oct. 13.

More than 20,000 annually are expected to visit Seiple Farms during the Pumpkin Harvest. The farm offers pumpkin picking, hay rides, carnival rides, food, and farm animals displays.
