DUI
James E. Flemming, 61, of Churchview Road, Emmaus, was charged with driving under the influence after a traffic stop along Pennsylvania Avenue, 11:45 p.m. Aug. 9. Flemming allegedly was seen driving erratically after police responded to Wendy's restaurant for a possible intoxicated driver. Flemming was processed and released from Lehigh County DUI Center.
Nancy L. Keppel, 53, of Liberty Street, Emmaus, was charged with driving under the influence after police responded to a report of an erratic driver and stopped Keppel for allegedly driving while impaired on Liberty Street, 9 p.m. Aug. 10. Keppel was processed and released from Lehigh County DUI Center.
Theodoros Trypatzis, 48, of Elm Street, Emmaus, was charged with driving under the influence after police observed him allegedly driving erratically and weaving along State Avenue, 2 a.m. Aug. 23. Trypatzis was processed and released from Lehigh County DUI Center.
Burglary
Reported by a resident in the 1200 block of West Jubilee Street, Aug. 12, unknown actors entered the home and took three rings valued at $3,800 between June 10 and Aug. 10.
Theft from vehicles
Reported by three residents in the 600 block of Minor Street, a total of $6 in change, a car battery and battery from a camper were taken from vehicles overnight Aug. 17.
Thefts
Reported by employees at the East Penn Diner, 1418 Chestnut St., four men and a woman ordered and ate meals at the restaurant, 2:30 p.m. Aug. 9. Four of the party paid their bills and left but one male claimed he left his wallet in his car, left to supposedly get the wallet and fled the restaurant without paying for his $6 meal. In another incident, employees reported a male dined at the restaurant and then ordered a sandwich to go 11 p.m. Aug. 13. While the sandwich was being made the male claimed he was going outside to smoke a cigarette and fled without paying for his $13 meal. Police are reviewing video surveillance footage in both incidents to identify the actors.
