LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

VALLEY YOUTH

The second annual "Jammin' for Youth," a fundraiser to support Valley Youth House Independent Living Program youth transitioning to independence, will be held Sept. 19, ArtsQuest Center, SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem.

Performers include the James Supra Blues Band, the Sarah Ayers Quartet and singer-songwriter Kayla Avitabile.

"This is such an important event for the program because it helps meet the funding gaps to serving our youth who can't return home and are transitioning to their own apartments," said Michele Albright, Supervisor for VYH's Supportive Housing Program.

James Supra won 2014 Lehigh Valley Music Award honors as best all-around performer (industry vote), best blues band, best harmonicist, and tied for best jam band with Sarah Ayers Band.

Sarah Ayers was honored as best Lehigh Valley performer (fan vote), best female artist and vocalist and best female singer-songwriter (fan vote).

Kayla Avitabile, 14, made her Lehigh Valley debut in fall 2013 and has performed at Mayfair.
