Allentown couple celebrate

25th anniversary

Glenn and Tammy (Vandergrift) Fegley are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary Sept. 12.

The high school sweethearts were married Sept. 23, 1989, at Jordan Lutheran Church, Orefield.

After honeymooning in the Poconos, they settled in Schnecksville, North Whitehall Township, where they lived until 2009.

In 2009, the couple purchased a home in Allentown where they now reside.

Glenn is the son of Alberta "Becky" (Fegley) Tawney and the late Charles W. Fegley.

Tammy is the daughter of Kermit and Linda (Kirkland) Vandergrift.

Glenn works for The Sharp Corporation, a United Drug Company, Fogelsville.

Tammy retired from Phoebe Home in 2011 where she was a community life coordinator.

She now pursues many interests such as baking, cake decorating and graphic design.

The couple enjoy movies, playing video games, all things geek, and spending time with their family, friends and puppies, Bella and Ren.

The couple are celebrating their anniversary with a vow renewal ceremony and reception at The Gertrude B. Fox Environmental Center at Illick's Mill, Monocacy Park, Bethlehem.

Their daughter; Kirsten, is serving as maid of honor and their oldest nephew, Mason Smith, is serving as best man.

Their youngest nephew, Ethan Smith, is the ring bearer, and their foster daughter, Danielle White, is the flower girl.

A poetry reading during the vow renewal is to be presented by their niece, Madelyn Smith, and their goddaughter Chelsea Lichtenwalner.

The ceremony is being performed by their daughter's fiancé, Jonathan Kocher.

Following the ceremony, the couple are having a beautiful reception surrounded by their family and friends.

The couple are looking forward to a second honeymoon in Europe, spending the next 25 years together and celebrating the marriage of their daughter in May 2015.
