Man cited for
disorderly conduct
State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Gene Elwood Deiter Jr., 4038 Main St., Weisenberg Township, was cited for disorderly conduct after police responded for a report of a large loud noise that shook the neighborhood 11:52 p.m. Aug. 26.
Upon police arrival music was also playing very loudly through the living room open windows. Police allege Deiter was seen seting off a large firework in his backyard.
Charges were filed with District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.
Macungie man
placed under arrest
State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Angelo Zapata, 44, of Macungie, was driving a 1996 Nissan Maxima 1:05 p.m. on Aug. 27 on Route 863 at Old Route 22, Weisenberg Township, when he was stopped for an alleged traffic violation .
Police say Zapata was allegedly in possession of suspected marijuana.
He placed under arrest without incident.
Charges for possession of marijuana and related paraphernalia were filed, police say.
Fenders stolen
from business
Police say two 2014 Peterbilt 389 stainless steel fenders, valued around $430, were stolen sometime between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 21 and 8 a.m. Aug. 25 from Hunter Keystone Peterbilt, 9981 Old Route 22, Weisenberg Township.
Police say forciable entry into a gated parking lot was gained when approximately four feet of metal fencing was cut.
