Physicians, nurses and staff of the Department of Neurology at Lehigh Valley Health Network lead an ALS Ice Bucket Challenge outside Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest Aug. 22. Other health network colleagues were invited to join in the challenge, a viral social media campaign aimed at raising awareness and finding a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, a progressive neurodegenerative disease affecting nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
