Trailer parts stolen

from backyard

State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Dale Kern reported a trailer wheel and tailgate were stolen between July 17-31 from his backyard at 2970 Avery Road, Washington Township.

Anyone with information about this theft is asked to call police at 610-861-2026.

Car hits

utility pole

State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Ralph F. Liberto, 66, of Slatington, was driving a 2003 Saturn Ion 3:52 a.m. Aug. 17 when he apparently fell asleep and drove off the right side of Spring Valley Road at Creek Road, Washington Township.

His car struck a utility pole on the right side of the road.

Liberto, who police say was wearing his seat belt, was uninjured.

He was charged with a traffic violation.

Driver arrested

for DUI

State Police Troop M of Bethlehem say Curt A. O'Malley, 32, of Slatington, was driving a 2014 Jeep Compass 6:50 p.m. July 21 when it struck a telephone pole guide wire off the right shoulder on Main Street, west of Penn Street, Washington Township.

According to police, O'Malley was eastbound on Main Street on a straight section road when he apparently lost control of his vehicle and it struck the guide wire.

O'Malley, who was wearing his seat belt and was uninjured, police say.

Police allege O'Malley was under the influence of prescription medication. He was arrested for driving under the influence.

The Jeep, which sustained moderate damage to its right front, was towed from the scene.

Debit card

used illegally

A 51-year-old man from the 5200 block of Thomson Street, Heidelberg Township, reported his debit/check card information was used to charge items between Aug. 5-6 at a Target store, State Police Troop M Bethlehem say.

His debit card account was also used to conduct numerous transactions.

Anyone with information about theft is asked to call state police at 610-861-2026 and reference incident M01-1541994.

Man arrested for

suspicion of DUI

Bruce Biedenharn, 55, of Evans Ga, was involved in a single vehicle crash 8:53 p.m. July 29 in the westbound lane of Mountain Road, Heidelberg Township, State Police Troop M of Bethlehem say.

Police say Biedenharn was given a standard field sobriety test and he allegedly showed impairment due to the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

He was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Man charged

with DUI

State Police Troop M of Bethlehem, say Trevor L. Smoll, of New Ringgold, was involved in a single vehicle crash 6:53 p.m. Aug. 9 on Route 309 South, approximately 300 yards north of Sunset Road, Heidelberg Township.

Police allege Smoll had been drinking.

He was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital and a blood test was drawn.

Charges were filed with District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.

Home egged

in Weisenberg Twp

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a home belonging to John Veschi, 8468 Oak Knoll St., Weisenberg Township, was egged sometime between 7-7:30 p.m, on Aug. 17.
