Have a ball! Heidelberg Township's bowling league is searching for people in the area to join the team.
Men, women, couples and young adults of all ages are welcome to join this fun group of bowlers 7 p.m. Tuesdays at the Slatington Bowling Center.
The league will start bowling Sept. 2 and continue through April 2015.

Mark your calendar! Lehigh-Northampton County Pomona Grangers will meet 2 p.m. Sept. 2 as guests of the Trexlertown Grange.
The program will be presented by the Lehigh Valley Beekeepers Association. Bring along any items, such as ceramics or other collectibles having to do with bees or honey for a display table.

Beginning Sept. 7, Heidelberg UCC worship service will start 8:30 a.m. Heidelberg Lutheran Church worship service will take place 11 a.m. Sunday School resumes 9:45 a.m.
Heidelberg Church's 275th Anniversary History Book Committee is still looking for old and new photos of the church.
Photos may be from inside or outside of the church.
If you have any the church could borrow to scan for the history book celebration next year, call Sheri Hausman at 610-440-0648.
Heidelberg Church's contemporary praise and worship service is planned for 7 p.m. Sept. 10 in fellowship hall.
This unique service features modern music and casual attire.

Forgotten Felines and Fidos animal shelter, Germansville, needs donations for its purse bingo fundraiser.
Chinese auction items are also needed for the event. Items will be accepted until Sept. 24.

The name-brand purse bingo will be Sept. 28 at St. John the Baptist Slovak Church, 920 N. Front St., Allentown.
Doors open 11:30 a.m. Bingo starts at 1 p.m.
There will be a raffle, food, 50/50, bake sale and games of chance.
Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door.
Proceeds benefit the shelter.
