Student earns

service award

Bethany Howatt of Allentown earned an Excellence in Service Award from Alvernia's Holleran Center for Community Engagement for completing at least 100 hours of community service in the last year.

Although students are only required to complete 40 hours of community service over four years, Howatt has gone above and beyond by completing more than 100 hours in just one year while attending the university in Reading, Berks County.
