Several Lehigh Valley television programs have been nominated for Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Awards from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The 32nd Annual Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards will be presented Sept. 20 at the Philadelphia Hilton, City Avenue, Philadelphia.

The 2013 Freddy Awards Broadcast, produced by the State Theatre and 69WFMZ-TV, has been nominated for a Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Award in the category of Education-Schools-Program-Special.

It is the fifth Emmy nomination for the program. The broadcast received two regional Emmys in 2005 and 2011 and has received six Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Awards, including the 2008 Award for Outstanding Television Program Designed for Children, and two Associated Press Award for Public Affairs.

The WLVT PBS39 production team received seven Emmy Award nominations.

"Focus" is nominated in four categories including Excellence in Magazine Program-Special; Health-Environment-Science Program- Special for "Focus On Health: Baby Steps," Health-Environment-Science-Program Feature-Segment for "Covering Concussions" and Historic-Cultural Program Feature-Segment for "Holocaust Survivor Story."

Teri Haddad, PBS39 Vice President of Education and Production, received three nominations for "Roey's Paintbox" and "What's So Cool About Manufacturing?"

ASR Media Productions was nominated for two Mid-Atlantic Emmys for "The Peak TV" in the Magazine Program-Special category and "Roey's Paintbox-Art is for Everyone," a co-production with WLVT PBS39, in the Children-Youth-Teen Program Special category.
