A new partnership between the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley Inc. (PCFLV) and ArtsQuest provides support services and art-based programs for local pediatric cancer patients and their families.

The program is funded by a $15,000 Livestrong Foundation grant ArtsQuest was awarded to develop its "heART Series."

Alison Bessesdotter, a Banana Factory resident artist and Macungie resident, is lead artist for Art Soup, a monthly art-based program.

In September, Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, PCFLV opens its new offices on the second floor of the Banana Factory. From Sept. 1 - 7, the blast furnaces at SteelStacks will be illuminated in gold, symbolizing the fight against childhood cancer.
