Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring a hoagie sale. Orders will be taken Sept. 2-19. Pickup 4:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at the station.

Call Pat at 610-285-2488 and order Italian, ham and cheese, turkey, roast beef or tuna hoagies.

All proceeds benefit the fire company.

Weisenberg Lowhill Township Historical Society will host its quarterly meeting and picnic starting 6:30 p.m. Aug. 26 at the home of Gene Allen.

Bring a covered dish or dessert and then enjoy Allen's art displays.

His mission is to do paintings of local properties before age consumes them.

Schpotyaahr Fescht (Fall Festival) is coming to Werleys Corner 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 13 and 14. The theme this year is "Education of Yesteryear," in the Weisenberg and Lowhill townships one-room schools.

If anyone has artifacts, pictures or other information about these schoolhouses, bring them for exhibit. Pictures will be taken of former students of each school 3:30 p.m. Sept. 14.

There will be good food, baked goods, straw maze, children's activities, a "Medicine Man," basket raffle, and much more.

The entertainment on Sept. 13, by Nicole Donatone and The Hawks, begins 2 p.m.

The Majestics perform 2 p.m. Sept. 14. The library will be open and there will be museum tours.
