Soldier completes

1 year of deployment

Andrew P. Szewczak of Upper Macungie Township, recently completed a one-year deployment with the U.S. Army in Eastern Afghanistan.

He is assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Command Group as an imagery analysis stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky.

After completing his basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C., Szewczak completed advanced training as an analysis at Fort Huachuca, Ariz.

Upon competition of that training he has been serving in the Army as a specialist at Fort Campbell.

The son of Paul and Debra Szewczak, he is a 2010 graduate of Parkland High School.
