LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Lowhill

Council President Mike Tomcics said Christ's Church at Low-hill's concession stand at Night in the Country was a success and would like to thank all who participated.

He said a carnival event like Northwestern Lehigh's Night in the Country is a way for the congregation to get involved with the community.

Volunteers worked hard and sold out more than 40 lbs. of barbecue and 100 hamburgers at the Aug. 16 event.

Concession items included a variety of baked items provided by the congregation members.

Tomcics said proceeds from the night's sales will be used for a new heating system in the sexton's house on Lowhill Church Road.

Any remaining funds will be used to purchase school supplies for the Blessing Shop.
