Board signs stormwater agreement

Washington Township supervisors, during their Aug. 5 meeting, signed an agreement of cooperation with the Lehigh County Conservation District.

There is a change in the minimum control measures and it affects the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System requirement.

The Agility Agreement with PennDOT was also signed by supervisors.

The agility agreement, a way for the state and township to exchange work, needs to be renewed every three years.

The Phillips lot line adjustment for land along Route 873, across from the bowling alley, will combine seven parcels, six of which are on separate deeds of record.

Keystone Consulting Engineers had only a few minor comments.

Conditional approval was given dependent on those comments.

Under public comment, Ed Ziegler asked if Old Mill Road is still closed.

He was told it is expected to be open Aug. 8.

The "curve" signs are faded at that road, Ziegler said.

Amendments to the burning ordinance are to be advertised. They may be seen in the office.
