The Parkland Garden Club Scholarship was awarded July 14 to Brad Fekula, son of David and Mary Fekula of Northampton.

Brad Fekula is a 2014 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School and is active in many extracurricular activities. Fekula is an Eagle Scout as well as an eager volunteer for his church. He has been on the Envirothon team for several years.

Fekula will attend Paul Smith College in the fall with a major in forest resource management as his express interest is in the environment.

The scholarship was presented by Sue Weber, scholarship chairman.
