Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, will be having Interactive Teen Movie Night 7 p.m. Aug. 8. Registration is required to attend.

Join the library staff on the porch for some ice cream and final prize pick-up as they celebrate the end of Summer Reading Club noon to 2 p.m. Aug. 9 and 5-7 p.m. Aug. 12.

The club was designed to motivate children ages 2 to adults to read as well as maintain their reading skills during the summer.

The Book Club for Seniors will meet 3 p.m. Aug. 12 in the Bistro at Luther Crest retirement community, 800 Hausman Road, South Whitehall. This month's selection is "Becoming Jane Austen," by Jen Spence.

Family Movie Night will be 6:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at the library.

To refresh or practice Italian, chat with native speaker Rita 7-8:30 p.m. Aug. 27.

The library's used book sale will be 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Aug. 15 and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 16 at Asbury Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, South Whitehall Township.

Cetronia Fire Department, 3950 Broadway, will be having its 90th anniversary parade, rain or shine, through Cetronia 1 p.m. Aug. 23.

Stop by the firehouse for music and food after the parade.

State Rep. Julie Harhart, R-183rd, is sponsoring Emergency: Be Prepared Seminar and Expo 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Aug. 14 at Springhouse Middle School, 1200 Springhouse Road, South Whitehall.

Doors open 6 p.m. Experts from various state agencies and utility companies will provide brief presentations on what to do and how to prepare in case of an emergency.

Smokey Bear, Judge the Arson Dog, Andy the Ambulance, Cell Phone Sally. A fire safety trailer and Free Child ID program will also be featured.
