Juan Jose Hernandez-Vega, 21, of Hamburg, was taken into custody and charged with allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop on Cedar Crest Boulevard, south of Fish Hatchery Road, July 19. Police found Westley Echevarria, 24, of Schillington, described as the front seat passenger, allegedly had a small clear plastic bag containing suspected marijuana with him at the time of the traffic stop. Echevarria also was taken into custody and was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Charges were filed through District Court 31-1-08.
