Aug. 13

Emmaus History Society will host an antique appraisal program 4 to 8 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Fifth and Chestnut streets, Emmaus. Certified appraisers will give verbal appraisals for no more than two items per person. There is a charge. A plate of food and beverages will be provided for a nominal fee. All proceeds benefit the 218 Main St., Emmaus, new museum home.

Aug. 16

Emmaus Moravian Church, 146 Main St. will hold a back to school shopping sale 9 a.m. to noon. The sale includes gently used and some new clothes, shoes and backpacks for children kindergarten through 12th grade. New school supplies will also be available. The Heritage Alliance of Emmaus celebration for Sebastian Knauss' 300th birthday at the Knauss Homestead, East Main Street 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event features Colonial games, food, music, favors, town crier proclamations, tours of the homestead and other historical sites and birthday cake.
