Agape New Testament Fellowship, 5229 Route 873, Schnecksville, invites children ages 3 through grade six to Vacation Bible School, 6:30-8 p.m. Aug. 11-15.
Bible teachings will focus on the Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount. In addition to Bible stories, there will be games, crafts, music, and snacks.

The public is invited to attend the closing program featuring James and Tracy Snyder, who will present a Biblical message through music and chalk drawings at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 15.

Upper Lehigh Historical Society will have a time for storytelling and show and tell around a bonfire at the Schneck House 7 p.m. Aug. 7.
Bring an interesting old object to show, possibly something unfamiliar, to see if anyone knows what it is.
Another option would be to read aloud a historic news article other people would find enjoyable.
The historical society is looking for new members and volunteers. This evening is an opportunity to see the historic log house and meet the people who care for it.

Friends of Parkland Community Library's 24th annual used book sale will be at Asbury Methodist Church, 1513 Springhouse Road, South Whitehall on Aug. 15 and Aug. 16.
The group is accepting donations of used books, games, puzzles, DVDs, and CDs at Asbury Church 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Aug. 11-13; 10 a.m.-noon Aug. 14.
The sale will be from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Aug. 15, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 16.
No encyclopedias or Reader's Digest books will be accepted.
A few seats are still available for the Hudson Valley bus trip Sept. 20, sponsored by the Friends of the Parkland Community Library.
Highlights include guided tours of the Vanderbilt Mansion and the FDR home, admission to the FDR museum, and lunch at the American Bounty Restaurant.
