Northwestern Recreation Commission is hosting its annual "Night in the Country" celebration 4-10 p.m. Aug. 16. Rain date is Aug. 17.

There will be a live country band, huge car cruise, DJ, Chinese auction, bingo, great food and activities.

To end the evening, a magnificant fireworks display is planned. Admission donations will be accepted.

Ebenezer Church, New Tripoli, reminds everyone its clothing closet will be open 6-8 p.m. Aug. 14, and 10 a.m.-noon Aug. 16.

There are free clothes for the entire family. Take as much as you need. Proof of need is not required.

Clothing donations are not being accepted at this time.
