Criminal mischief
A resident in the 800 block of Public Road reported 8:45 a.m. July 11 an unknown person punctured the driver's side seat of the vehicle sometime overnight.
A resident on Van Vetchen Avenue reported 2:10 p.m. July 18 an unknown person has been destroying his garage.
DUI
Robert Thompson, 40, of Allentown, was charged with allegedly driving under the influence after being stopped at the intersection of Pearl and Lehigh avenues 12 a.m. July 11. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Theft
A resident in the 2200 block of Cypress Avenue reported 10:20 a.m. July 13 a number of items are missing from the home including miscellaneous jewelry and a camera. Police are investigating.
Two bikes were reported stolen from a property in the 1400 block of Constitution Drive 11 a.m. July 16.
A diamond ring valued at $12,000 is missing from a home in the 3600 block of Salisbury Hills Drive. The theft was reported 12:21 p.m. July 18.
Assault
Robert Gladys, 53, of Emmaus, was charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief after an incident at a home on Ott Street. Gladys allegedly struck a family member and damaged a vehicle. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Christopher Althouse, 22, of Allentown, was charged with assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after an incident July 19 in the 1300 block of Maumee Avenue. Althouse allegedly harmed a family member. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Vehicle theft
A man who had a 2002 Honda motorcycle for sale on Craigs List, met the potential buyer at the Emmaus Avenue Market 7:35 p.m. July 15. The potential buyer then asked to take it for a test drive and never returned. Police are investigating. The motorcyle was valued at $1,200.
Hit and run
A dark colored vehicle, driven by a younger driver, was seen 7:05 p.m. July 17 driving into a yard in the 700 block of East Montgomery Street. The driver hit a mailbox and left the scene. A registration plate was provided and police are investigating.
Retail theft
An employee of Victoria's Secret, 3300 Lehigh St., reported 6:10 p.m. July 17 an unknown person removed 70 pairs of undergarments from a bin valued at $1,275.
Jane Balliet, 54, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft after an incident July 19 at Bon-Ton, 3300 Lehigh St.
Attempted theft
A resident in the 700 block of Public Road reported 11 p.m. July 17 a tall black male around a vehicle, trying the doors to see if they were locked. When confronted, the male said he wanted to buy the vehicle and fled when the resident approached him.
Drug possession
Nicholas Howells, 28, of Easton, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia 11 a.m. July 18 in the 700 block of Public Road.
Threat
Ralph Smith, 68, of Center Valley, was charged with allegedly making terroristic threats after an incident 11:23 a.m. July 18. An employee of the Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest made a routine call to Smith informing him an upcoming test would not be covered under insurance.
Disorderly conduct
Mark DeLong, 38, allegedly homeless, was charged with disorderly conduct, after an incident 12:28 p.m. July 18 at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest.
Burglary
Two females were seen removing items from a home in the 2400 block of Honeysuckle Road 7:55 p.m. July 23. When confronted the females said they had paid for the items; however a large dresser, china and a hand cart were found missing after the females left.
A number of homes and vehicles in the 1200 block of Taft Avenue and in the 1300 block of Ueberroth Avenue were burglarized in the early morning hours of July 24. Police are investigating.
